My clever little nephews!

Christy told me the cutest story about my nephews a couple weeks ago. She sent along the pictures of these clever little guys. Apparently she was blow drying her hair when Brody and Braden figured out how to open the fridge and empty all of the shelves. They carefully walked everything over the tile floor and outside to their picnic table. They nicely arranged everything in rows. Including all the glass jars! Nothing broke and they were so proud of themselves........until they had to clean everything up! So cute!

Great news!

Since Madi came back to soccer she hasn't been the same. She's still recovering from her broken leg and has a cute little limp. We call her "flava flave." She's been complaining alot about her ankle so I got a hold of her physical therapist who told us to call her doctor and get her in for xrays right away. We saw her doctor the next day and they took xrays and found that her growth plates looked great, her original break looked perfect and she didn't have a stress fracture. Brendon and I were so relieved. However, she has played too hard, too fast so Madison has to sit out for two weeks and start another month of physical therapy when the two weeks are over. She was so sad that she had to miss playing soccer. She's also the captain of the school lunchtime kickball team and they start eliminations this week. We told her she will make a great cheerleader to both teams and then in a month she can come back in kick some tail!

Great news!

Fall Break

This past week the kids had school off for fall break. The timing was perfect......we needed the opportunity to unwind and recharge our batteries so we are ready to roll through the holidays. We spent Sunday through Friday camping at the beach in Carlsbad, California with the Burns Family. The Burns have camped at Carlsbad for a number of years and have always talked highly about it. We finally got the chance to go and absolutely loved it! Almost every morning we would see a group dolphins swim by.

Everywhere Makenzie goes she's doing some kind of flip.....including at the beach.

Madison spent almost the whole time in the 60 degree water! She boogie boarded for the first time and had so much fun! The smile on her face was contagious!

Makenzie even tried out a few waves.

She looked so cute in her daddy's shirt!

They're growing up but they'll always be daddy's little girls!
Makenzie and Charlie hanging out and telling stories!
The kids loved to get buried in the sand!
On Thursday we spent the day at Legoland.

My little man Hunter is always up for a good laugh! This picture of Carrie and myself is from another weekend we had together. I had to post one of us girls and I didn't have one from this trip. However, we should have taken one because the girls are the CHAMPIONS! We played our husbands in all kinds of games over the week: Kanasta, Rummikub and the firefighter race at Legoland. Each time we would beat them! The boys later announced that we were going to have to play tackle football on the beach so they could win something!
I couldn't have asked for a better week! It was so nice to relax and be with my family and great friends! I enjoyed watching the sunset every evening and listening to the giggles on the beach. I loved not having a schedule and being able to live each day we were there on our own time and not by watching the clock. At home the kids are involved in different activities and I feel we have a revolving front door, someone always going in and out. I am very thankful my kids have the opportunity to be involved in the activities they love. However, I am just as thankful for our opportunities when we get the chance to slow down and be with one another. I loved having my husband away and being able to snuggle up to him as we watched the sun go down. I loved the kids jumping in bed with us in the morning and we could lay there and enjoy the moment. I am so thankful we got the chance to just be together!

Howloween is coming! Bark! Bark!

Halloween is just around the corner. The kids got their outfits and we also got Rocky and Daisy their costumes! Our little ladybug and dragon looked so darn cute. Daisy could care less that she was all dressed up. Rocky, on the other hand, was more interested in the treat we were dangling over his head. I made sure to be very careful with Rocky so I didn't get bit! He can be such a grumpy, old dog.
Daisy our little ladybug. So cute!

This was before we brought out a treat for him.
This was after the treat was brought out. He's so much happier when life involves food (he takes after his mom). I think he should wear this costume all the time. It actually helps his look.

Oops!

Hi there! If you're checking in on us I'm sure you've noticed the big change! Our site looks completely different and all of our past posts are gone! You couldn't be more upset than I am! I thought it would be so cool to change the look of our blog to match every season. Long story short, I started to do it on my own and completely messed everything up. I had to delete all of our information and begin again! I could just cry!
