Big update

The weekend of March 21st Makenzie had a DMA dance competition. She was the youngest girl in her age division and spent three days dancing. She ended up with a 1st in acro and 3rd in ballet. She performed her first solo and looked so tiny on stage. We were all so proud of her.

The family came to cheer Makenzie on
At the end of spring break we ran to lunch with my mom and sister. At around noon we started talking about having a girls trip. By 4:30 that afternoon the five of us girls were on a plane heading to California for one night. We woke Monday morning to find out that Waggoner had a major roof collapse and cancelled school. We took this opportunity to stay an extra night.
I love our spur of the moment trips! Madison and Makenzie thought it was so much fun!
Over spring break we spent the week in Pinetop with friends and family. We had snow a couple of the days but it would melt off before the kids could play in it. The other days were sunny and beautiful so the kids got to go fishing with Bampa. Between all three kids they caught around 15 fish. One day the five of us went out on a quad ride and got snowed on for part of it. This was the first time Hunter drove the quad by himself. He is definetly "all boy" and had no fear.
On March 10 we celebrate Great Grandpa Bill's 88th Birthday.

February 27, 2009 Makenzie turns 8

February 27, 2009 Makenzie turned 8! She had her party with her school friends at Polar Ice skating rink. She loves to ice skate and has no fear flying around on the ice. On the day of her birthday I surprised her and picked her up for lunch. I let her pick her favorite spot to eat at and she chose Panda Express. She loves her orange chicken and rice. For her family dinner we went to Peter Piper Pizza. The kids had fun playing with all the games and collecting tickets.
Because she doesn't like frosting and cake, she picked donuts for her friends birthday party and a big chocolate chip cookie for her family dinner party.

Hunter ice skated for the first time at Makenzie's party. He was nervous at first but within ten minutes he thought it was more fun to see how fast he could go on the ice. Within a couple minutes of that he figured out it was fun to slide across the ice on his rear end. His pants were soaking wet from sliding all over the place. He skated for 1 1/2 hours and still didn't want to leave the ice when it was time to go to the party room.
