Happy 14th Anniversary!!!!!

Today Brendon and I are celebrating our 14th wedding anniversary. I can't believe it has already been 14 years. I am so thankful for everyday we've had together and look forward to all of the other amazing moments we are going to share. I feel so blessed to say that I fall farther in love with my husband everyday. He is absolutely amazing and I am so proud of him. He works so hard to take care of our family and is such a wonderful person, father, husband and best friend. He is my rock in our crazy world and I'm thankful for his calm presence in our home. I LOVE YOU BEAV!!! THANKS FOR MAKING ME THE HAPPIEST GIRL IN THE WORLD!!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAYLA!

Tomorrow, May 20, my younger sister is celebrating her birthday and turning 24 years young. Above she is pictured with her new husband Aaron. Along with celebrating her birthday she is finishing up her first year of teaching 2nd grade at a Kyrene Elementary School. I have admired her so much for how hard she's worked and how well she has done with her classroom. She made a terrific teacher and I know her school will miss her next year. I have missed being able to spend so much time with her since she got her full time job. I'm really looking forward to being able to see her more when she starts her new job. She is a terrific sister and absolutely beautiful. HAPPY BIRTHDAY KK!!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!!

Happy Birthday KanKan!

My baby sister, Kandra, turns 22 today! I am so proud of the beautiful person she is. She's one of the funniest people I know and is such a sweetheart. She has a HUGE heart and means the world to me and my family. We miss her like crazy when she's away at college and look forward to her coming home this summer. (She graduates from Uof A this weekend). I couldn't be any prouder of her than I am. I am lucky to be able to call her my sister and blessed that she is also one of my best friends.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KANKAN! WE LOVE YOU!!!!!!!

Mothers Day

This Mothers Day I left in the morning to teach my last day of Sunday school (a year commitment and it went by so fast). I came home to find one of the best mothers day presents any mom could ask for: the kids cleaned the entire house and set up a romantic table for Brendon and I to get served our homemade lunch. They placed our champagne glasses from our wedding on the table and the first song they played was our wedding song: Keeper of the Stars by Tracy Byrd. It was so cute and absolutely adorable!
They decorated nametags and placemats at each of our seats.
Madison was the chef in the kitchen. She made chicken quesadillas.....they were delicious!!!
Hunter and Makenzie served the water and lemonade.
They also provided the entertainment for our dining pleasure. It was very cute!

Makenzie's Dance Competition

On Saturday, May 9 Makenzie performed in her last competition of the season. She did such a wonderful job........I was so proud of her. She performed her solo and won a high gold, highest score in the lyrical category and highest overall score in her division. I love watching her on stage. It reminds me of when I used to watch my sister dance. I think back to all the shows I saw of Kandra's and Makenzie would sit on my lap and watch intensly as Aunt KanKan danced. Who knew only a short, few years later Makenzie would be following in her Aunts footsteps.

Girl Scout Campout

Friday night Makenzie's girl scout troop had a campout in our backyard.
It was a fun, busy night of games, campfire songs, banana boats, skits and crafts.
We had a variety of relays with water balloons
The kids particpated in a clothes relay.
They looked so cute running around in the oversized clothes!
