Once Makenzie finished up her dance for the summer, the kids and I spent the rest of the summer at the cabin in Pinetop (thanks mom and dad!). Brendon joined us on the weekends and we missed him so much! I completely disappeared from my phone, computer, work, etc. and just spent time with my kids. It was such a relaxing summer and I came home kicking and screaming not ready for the kids to start school. I was so bad about posting to our blog so I'll slowly go through and update you on some of our summer adventures. However, the kids started school this week so I wanted to get those pictures online. 
Makenzie started 3rd grade
Madison started 6th grade and Middle School
Hunter started Kindergarten
Hunter insisted on having a buzz cut and wearing a tie to his first day. He looked so handsome (when he got home he couldn't take the tie off fast enough). Brendon surprised Hunter after school and the two of them went to the Diamondbacks game.
All the kids started school and are loving their teachers and seeing their friends again. Hunter started a couple days later than the girls and it was quite a change having a quiet house. For over eleven years I'm not sure there's been many times I've been alone at home. The dogs followed me around while I cleaned. I think they were just as lonely as I was while the kids were at school. I eventually had to turn on music in the house because it was so quiet.
I'm thankful they're happy & having a great start to the school year, however,
I miss them like crazy!
